African Issues Form

The African issues forum is an outgrowth of the ublic policy forum aimed at creating public awareness of different approaches to economic and political issues of vital concern for Africa, and regional approaches and institutions, such as NEPAD, may contribute to addressing them, and possibly influencing them, at national level.

Taking advantage of Addis Ababa’s unique position as a diplomatic and academic hub of Africa, the forum brings together at occasional lectures rominet Africa leaders and experts as well international figures to share their views and perspectives with the international and Africa diplomatic community in Addis Ababa and Ethiopian participations on issues that vitally affect Africa.

The Forum has in the past hosted, among others, the right honorable Claire short, the format British Minster of International Development, Mr.Gareth Evans, a renowned diplomat and Director of the international Crisis Group, and professor Alan Whiteside and Dr.Alex De Waal, prominent experts on HIV/ADIS on Africa.
